Sur-Ron Ultra Bee Swingarm Repair and Strengthening Service

Tired of unexpected chain derailment on your Ultra Bee? Aggressive riding can cause swingarm flex that eventually lead to cracks and failure. This reinforcement solves the root cause, delivering the structural integrity found on our race bikes. Eliminate the need for aftermarket guides entirely.

Under large loads such as added power and larger wheels the Ultra Bee swingarm can flex excessively causing chain derailment and eventually cracking and failure. These cracks start where the thin cast swingarm is welded to the thicker shock mount directly in front of the rear tire.

It is important to catch the cracks early before they spread to the sides of the swingarm. Once they reach the side channels, they can not be repaired with any certainty. If the crack extends the complete distance of the crossmember weld into the sides we do not recommend repairing it. Also If there is a large amount of dark aluminum dust around the crack it is probably not fixable.

We recommend starting with a new swingarm if you want the best results.

What we do:

  • When we receive your swingarm we will evaluate the damage and see if it can be repaired
  • Remove all of the paint.
  • The second generation (mid 2024 and newer) is better. they changed the shape of the welded parts a little and increased the thickness of the welds. For this reason if this section does not have an existing crack, we usually leave this area alone.
  • First generation we grind out the front and rear welds and replace it with a thick hand weld.
  • Custom cut and fit the inner c-channel aluminum boxing plate to fit your swingarm and weld them in place creating a much stronger boxed swingarm.
  • Surface finish the outside.
  • Since the swingarm bearings are usually damaged by the heat of welding so we include a new set of DirtyBike heavy duty swingarm bearings.
